12.45-1.15 : Fearless Vampire Killers
FVK began, as legends do tend to begin, in a small not particularly mind-blowing district of our fair isle. Five whippersnappers of similar age, found each other amidst the inertia of modern living and forged friendships through shared inspirations and aspirations.
As the passing of time left them in danger of stagnating, our heroes ventured to the Big Smoke. Life was harsh to begin with, but as with all those of a heroic nature, The Fearless Vampire Killers prevailed, dancing to the Ballet Of The Teeth and telling tales of Grandomina, a world of Wonder, Vice, Love and Lust.
If you believe music should be better, if you feel emotionally unfulfilled, if you want to be a part of something beautiful then join us on an otherworldly adventure in which Thieves steal nightmares, Professors go mad, Princes save girls and Vampires change their ways.
Come one, come all to the Fearless Vampire Killers show.

The four-piece outfit promise Frimchett Festival will witness memories of the lo-fi 90s sound through what magazines' have described as a "no-nonsense wall of rock". Look out for "Fat Cat Remedy" and "Shotgun Wedding". These catchy choruses will come back days after you've heard them.

3.00-3.30 : Auto De Fe
Auto De Fe (previously Sub Rosa) formed approx. 2 years ago, with the disbanding of a Hampshire based heavy rock band. With a new vocalist and bassist, a much more open minded and experimental approach to writing music and a frustration towards recycled, middle-of-the-road music pathed the way for a new style and direction. Taking on progressive influences from 70's experimental bands right through to modern electronic music, Auto De Fe are constantly trying to fuse together interesting ambient soundscapes, heavy riffs, melodic vocals and contagious rhythms to give audiences something alternative and interesting to listen to.
Auto De Fe are a willfully difficult band to pin down; although comparisons have been made to the likes of Tool, The Mars Volta, Radiohead, Bjork, King Crimson, Oceansize, Jeff Buckley and Aphex Twin. Auto De Fe are aiming directly at the genuine music lover, not a band that will easily fit in to any latest sceny craze, and they're not planning to either. Auto De Fe have recently completed their debut EP 'Appomattox'. Combining moments of glacial atmospherics with pounding tribal rhythms, head-scratching grooves and melodic vocals.

Echo FM Mike and Tom show "One of my favourite bands playing in the south of England at the moment, bringing classic psychedelia into the future and making it a bit more interesting along the way, the Hattie Carrolls are definitely one to catch while you can."

6.00-6.30 : Diamond Lines
Somewhere between The Jam and The Streets – but nothing like either.

6.45-7.15 : The Noyze
The Noyze are a four-piece outfit hailing from the mean streets of Reading.
The music they play is no nonsense indie rock and roll, reflecting the confrontation and melancholy of life in equal parts. The band draw on luxurious riffs and solos, space age synth sounds and furious drumming; the way has been paved for what many have deemed “Thug Rock” in their hometown.
They aim for the angst and aggression that gets their growing fan base moving on the dance floor. Yet, the heartfelt vulnerability and tenderness in many of the lyrics ground the band in the bittersweet realism of what it is to strive for a dream in the current climate.
The current line up has been established for two years, with front man and lead guitarist Ross Turner (26) having kept The Noyze torch burning since the tender age of 19; followed by bassist Ben Brown joining the band after surviving being hit by a train a few years back. John Winter is a calming influence off stage, but unleashes unparalleled savagery on the drums.
To date the boys can boast of gigs with such prestigious acts as Tim Burgess (The Charlatans), Kasabian and The Icarus Line, at high profile venues such as Dublin Castle, Water Rats Theatre, Jericho Tavern and the JAMM Brixton.
They have a plethora of influences ranging from Bowie to Brownie, Zeppelin to Oasis, there’s even room for a bit of Chemical Brothers and Prodigy. It’s how they translate this into their own Noyze sound that really resonates with the fans.

7.30-8.00 : Mummamoto
MummaMoto are a four piece 'brick wall' of sound, rapidly becoming known for their riff heavy, vintage lo-fi music - delivered with a sneer and a swagger from front man Nick Reedman. They could perhaps be described as a cross between The Strokes and The Velvet Underground, they are an indie band - thankfully not treading the worn out 'Beatles' path - instead creating an explosion which is entirely their own. A powerhouse

8.15-8.45 : Burning Idols
Burning Idols are a band who losely describe themselves as a ska-punk folk band. They formed in the summer of 2009 and are a 5-piece acoustic band. The members not having much experience in folk music took up the challenge of creating their own fusion of the popular genre of folk punk. Using a mix of reggae, ska, punk and folk styles gives them a unique sound which has made them a popular band in their local town of Basingstoke. They would describe their music as up-beat with a message but they are not afraid of throwing in some fun songs too.

10.00-11.00 : Smokey Bastard
Reading-based Folk-Punk outfit Smokey Bastard have been playing raucous live shows around the UK since the band’s formation in early 2007. Started with the intention of becoming the UK’s answer to the likes of Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly, Smokey Bastard were quick to merge the energetic live shows which inspired them with a sound of their own, resulting in the wall of instrumental mayhem they gig with today.
August 2009 brought Bastard’s first tour, and with it their debut release “Propping Up The Floor”, which made the Top Ten Albums list on both Shite’n’onions.com and PaddyRockRadio.com; widely considered to be the official arbiters of the genre. Since then, the band have gigged furiously up and down the country, including a second tour and, with a few new additions to the line-up, they show no signs of slowing down.
The process of writing a second album is well underway with a view to releasing later this year. Add that to a summer tour including the Czech Republic’s Mighty Sounds festival and you’ve got an exciting year ahead for Smokey Bastard.
