God Save The Scene are a 4 piece punk rock covers band. They play the songs which the lads love - music to jump about to, music to shout to and music to get angry to. After a sweat soaked gig they will be retiring to the bar for a few beers with the blokes before resting their tired heads on the bosom of their adoring female fans. They like sex, lager and music. And Jack Daniels.
12.45-1.15 : Sylvan Souls
'Sylvan Souls' consists of four brave funk knights hailing from a knot of secluded villages between Reading and Basingstoke. Having jammed together for over a year, it is now time for them leave their cosy world behind and transmit their unique sound far and wide. The vibrations coming from these kindred spirits can be best described as a mixture of dirty funk, heartfelt blues and rock, with a splash of reggae here and there. We make music we truly enjoy that we hope may rub off onto you too. As 21st century music lovers we have a passion for so many types of music which is reflected in our eclectic sound. We therefore hope to offer an alternative to what seems available to public ears at this present time.

1.30-2.00 : Off The Radar
Having formed in January 2001, the band have been on the receiving end of a great deal of airplay and success - their first promotional CD was played on student and regional radio stations as far away as Italy, Holland, Germany, and Serbia- Montenegro. Their second promotional CD ‘Here It Is!’ was recorded in the now legendary, ‘Toerag’, studio (White Stripes, Datsuns, Supergrass) in London and this bagged them their first gigs in New York, in September 2003, where they received an enthusiastic reception leading to their return in April 2004.
Off The Radar’s Reading based independent label, Velocity Recordings followed this up in 2005 with the release of their debut album, ‘Seen From Space’ to critical acclaim and in 2006 two tracks from the band’s album were used by Channel 4 in national TV and radio adverts for the CH4 music web site ‘slashmusic’.
After a packed gig schedule in 2007, February 2008 saw the band’s first CD single release, ‘Accidental Birthday’ and the recording of their much anticipated second album, 'Cut to the Chaser'. The album sessions continued a long running relationship with Robin Evans (The View, Manic Street Preachers, Dodgy, Sam Brown) and is the most outstanding compilation of tracks which the trio have produced to date.
In 2009 the band have extended their live performances to include acoustic shows, bringing an increasing repertoire of songs to new audiences. With a steady supply of new songs ever at hand it will not be long before the band will be in the studio again working on their third album; 2010 looks like another busy year...

"Imagine putting The Fratelli's, Vampire Weekend and Elvis Costello into an ice cream van and driving it full throttle off the white cliffs of Dover.." (Get Reading). Just show them a field and add a dash of cider for instant festival satisfaction!

3.45-4.15 : Young Lust
Born in Southampton with the one soul intent, to get right in the face of all that is not hard rock. YOUNGLUST struggled in their early days with misfortune and bad luck, a story in its self, but defying the odds, striving to reach the level on which they want their music heard and completely self inflicted challenges are the hallmark of YOUNG LUST, and they will do it by any means necessary, if at times some-what provocative.
2010 Sees the band firing on all cylinders, continuous shows, Headline slots at established London venues, a full length album soon to be released and a U.K. Tour being planned means this year is a Land Mark Year for the band.
“Keep an eye out, because most of the time you wont even see us coming.... until its too late.” (Stevie)
"horrible and scary. Just as it should be. Nice low slung guitar work. Great balls-to-the-wall rock act with meaty rock lyrics, Young Lust would be fine at Donington!, propper pro stuff!" (Geoff McQueen- Producer BBC Radio Solent)

8.30-9.00 : The Foxes
The band might have been sleeping on friends’ floors and in their battered old van for the past two years but this EP belies their homelessness.
Having given up everything to get fully behind the band, they started their own record label and have been touring the UK, US and Europe ever since.
Producer John Cornfield (Muse, Razorlight, Supergrass, Oasis) invited them to record their first full-length album with him at the isolated Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, where the last part of the journey has to be completed by boat. These four songs represent a taster of what is to come later in the year.
Although gaining support from Radio One (Zane), Radio Two (Long, Lester) and Absolute, the edgy sound of their previous 3 UK singles (Trauma Town (UK Indie Chart #9), Bill Hicks (UK Indie Chart #6) and Lover, Killer) has developed into a warmer, richer sound with the addition of acoustic guitars, piano, and harmonies from all three singers.
A UK tour from the end of April through to early July will see The Foxes hitting the road with what The Red Stripe Music Awards described as “An Awesome Set” – see www.thefoxesband.com for the up-to-date tour schedule.

9.15-10.00 : Tin Soldiers
A 4 piece guitar band from Kent - Tin Soldiers debut album has taken the music press by storm and placed them as one of *the* hottest bands in the UK for 2010.
'Chugging guitars, explosive time changes, like Muse playing proper pop songs with Dave Grohl at the volume control. As you can imagine melodies are rife, guitars spin off and drums are given a good kicking, indeed frenetic dancing and weird shapes are often thrown as a result.' Q MAGAZINE
'If you want catchy then it's time to make the acquaintance of Tin Soldiers who rival the Ebola virus in terms of sheer infectiousness.'KERRANG
'the pop record that the Foo Fighters never wrote. From start to finish, every minute of 'Telling Tales' will wedge itself inside your head. Catchy doesn't even come close' ROCKSOUND 'From sensitive ballads to balls out rock songs the band can ably turn their hands to writing memorable hook laden songs.'DROWNED IN SOUND
'Power-pop is an oft-neglected art due to the genre's preference for bandwagon chasing, but British act Tin Soldiers revive it on their debut - the hooks are relentless and the guitars hammer them under your skin' GUITARIST MAGAZINE
'a relentless gusto and verve nailed to a punchy radio-seeking production...Standout tracks Just About Us, Wait For You and 24 Hours demonstrate some keen songwriting skills'CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE
